Keep the lease wording, the cost schedule and your calculation together. Enter a stated percentage or fraction, or record the information you still need.
Start with the lease. Keep the arithmetic tied to the right cost.
Your evidence
One cost schedule at a time.
Use your own lease and any relevant variation. Leave names, addresses and other people's details out of the short extract.
Your result
The wording comes first.
Choose what you found to get one of four outcomes: fixed share, formula or basis, more information required, or no clear wording found.
Based on your entries. The tool has not read or verified your lease. A calculated share does not establish that a charge is payable, reasonable or correctly demanded.
Ask LEASE-iQ about your lease
Copy a question with your worksheet entries, then paste it into LEASE-iQ with your uploaded lease selected.
New to LEASE-iQ? One residential lease is free, with no one-month limit. Request free access ↗ first; after confirmation, follow the secure upload instructions for your signed lease.
The question includes the entries you add to this worksheet. Check them before copying. Nothing is sent automatically.
Match the wording to the schedule behind the bill. Keep building, estate, insurance and other categories separate where the lease does.
02
Is the basis complete?
A lease may state a percentage, a fraction or another way of allocating costs. If it uses a formula or a “fair proportion”, ask for the calculation and supporting basis.
03
What is still missing?
Check the relevant lease pages, any variation and the cost breakdown. No clear wording found means more investigation is needed; it is not a conclusion that nothing is owed.
Use the words you would use with a neighbour. I will suggest the closest page I can match.
This guide only matches your words to pages on this website. It does not read your lease or give legal advice. Do not paste names, addresses, lease wording or payment details.
